Acadia Eco-Olympics 2008

This year is the second year the Eco-Olympics are being held at Acadia. The Eco-Olympics will be occurring in the month of November.

The Eco-Olympics is an energy, waste and water reduction competition between residences on and off campus. Competition is made up of a series of 8 events which education and impact reduction on campus. There are group and individual events so anyone can participate. The goal is to create awareness about the need for becoming more sustainable and environmentally friendly in our everyday life.

When students participate in an event, they earn points for their dorm or off campus team and have the chance to win awesome prizes! The residence that accumulates the most points will win the overall competition and donate a winning prize to the charity of their choice.
