Environmental Leadership Award for Acadia Students

Nomination Form

This Award is given annually to one graduating student or to a group of students (at least one of whom is graduating) that has (have) demonstrated exceptional environmental leadership during the previous year at Acadia University.  This environmental work may have occurred on or off the campus.  Nominations of appropriate recipients will be solicited from the Acadia University community.  The nomination may consist of a formal Nomination Form or utilize another media format (e.g. video) providing the latter provides the same information.  Nominations for the Award will be considered by the Scholarships and Awards Committee of the Academy, which will make a recommendation to the Council of Members of the Academy.  Completed nominations must be received by April 4, 2008; the Award will be presented to the successful recipient at a time and place to be determined.

Nomination forms must be returned to Janet Holman, Secretary, Arthur Irving Academy for the Environment, PO Box 90, Acadia University no later than April 4, 2008, 4:30 pm (or emailed to janet.holman@acadiau.ca). 

 

Nominees must:

ü      have made significant environmental contributions to university and/or community life while a student at Acadia;

ü      have demonstrated outstanding leadership and character;

ü      have sustained a sound academic standing: nominators are asked to attest to this to the best of their knowledge.

Upon receipt, a committee consisting of The Arthur Irving Academy for the Environment Council members will review the nominations and select the successful recipient.
