Benefits of Membership:
Academy members will have opportunities to
· partner with others in research projects and data collection;
· assist with planning of conferences and events;
· contribute to an Academy newsletter;
· be a part of an environmental collective voice to influence government policy.
The Academy will be a central point to locate those doing research and encourage them to collaborate with others in areas of common interest.
Who can become a Member?
People from all aspects of society: industry leaders, academics and researchers, regional, provincial and federal government agents, non-government organization officials and the community at large. Members will be people interested in environmental issues from across several disciplines: the sciences, business, humanities, arts, etc. An Advisory Board to the Academy Council will be made up of Associate Members.
Members are expected to be pro-active by participating in and contributing to Academy activities.
Members must be nominated by one of the Academy Councilors and approved by the Membership Committee.
Membership Term:
Membership will be for a two year term, with an option to renew, on recommendation to the Membership Committee.
